This dance was written for my Finnish friend, Marja Gass, who asked her husband John to devise a dance for her
birthday. As the dance needed to be personal, John thought that it could depict the making of the Finnish buns
(vaguely similar to Chelsea buns) which are one of Marja’s culinary specialities. Between John and I, the recipe
seems have been translated with plenty of creative license, but the buns remain delicious!
Marion Turnock kindly wrote the original music - Sunday Tea - and Marian Anderson will record it on The Sunday
Class Dance Book 2 CD.
