Newcastle upon Tyne and District Branch of the RSCDS was founded in 1950 and is one of the largest Branches
worldwide. Newcastle Branch covers Northumberland south of the Coquet, Durham north of the line of the Wear
to Sunderland Bridge and then due east to Hesleden, and including the whole of the Metropolitan County of Tyne
and Wear.
