This   dance   was   devised   for Andy   and   Gillean   Lippok   who   were   keen   members   of   St.   John's   Scottish   Dancing   Club in   Wokingham   and   moved   to   Dublin   in   the   summer   of   1996   (the   year   that Andy   had   been   chairman   of   the   Club), hence the Celtic Crossing. Bill writes: What   can   I   say   about   the   lovely   Gillean   -   she   hails   from   Inverness,   and   lets   me   know   if   she   approves   of   my dances. Mary Sutherland thought up the appropriate name. The   tune   set   played   by   Nicol   McLaren   includes   Sweet   Biddy   Daly,   Roaring   Jelly,   The   Rakes   o’   Kildare,   Shandon Bells and The Idle Road.
