Lochan Ora (translates to "golden loch") is a sweet whisky liqueur, made by Chivas Brothers, which is very similar
to Drambuie. Lochan Ora is made from 100% Scotch whiskies, honey, herbs and spices.
Lochanora is also a village in Lake County, about 190 miles north of Springfield, Illinois, USA, described as
“a single family neighborhood built in the late 1980's. Lochanora features 60 custom homes constructed by a
number of builders. Lochanora originally was farmland before the property was zoned single family in the mid
1970's. All of the homes are situated on heavily wooded lots of an acre or more. Homes are set back from the
streets for privacy and green space. The neighborhood has limited traffic access. Lochanora is situated by several
nature preserves, Bangs Lake, and Lake Zurich. The ponds in the community are used by the residents for
swimming, fishing, and boating. The lakes are privately owned and maintained by the owners' association.
Lochanora is located off of Fairfield and Old Mchenry in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois.”
