Peter Hyssett devised this dance and the tune of the same name and it is published in the RSCDS Leaflet 32 along with Mrs Milne of Kinneff, Broadford Bay and Georgie’s Jig. Kelloholm is a village in Dumfries and Galloway, next to Kirkconnel and the two have begun to merge. Kelloholm was originally constructed in the early 20 th  century to serve the many mines in the area (all of which have now closed) and gets its name from the Kello Water.
