CHRISS CROSS (J8x32)  Robert Senior  TSC 2  1- 4 1s lead down the middle  (take the full 4 bars)  5- 6 1L dances under her partner’s right arm (as 2s step up)  7- 8 1s lead up to double triangle positions on opposite sides (take 1-8 steadily – do not arrive too soon)  9-12 All set (on bars 9 and 10); 1s turn 1 st  corners ¾ RH hand whilst  2 nd  corners change places LH (i.e. crossing over diagonally) and face out 13-16 All dance ½ reels of 3 across, 1s giving LSh to the person who has just crossed over (2 nd  corner in 4 th  corner position), finishing with 1M loops up and 1L down passing RSh to double triangle positions on  own sides 17-24 Repeat bars 9-16 with 1s turning corner on right whilst other corners cross left, finishing 1M loops down and 1L up passing RSh to double triangle positions on opposite sides but do not take hands 24-28 1s dance out opposite sides and cast right around 1 st  corner position  to meet in middle of set, whilst 2s+3s dance ½ R&Ls, starting RH to partner across the set 29-32 1s turn RH (or birl)
This   dance   was   devised   for   Chrissie   Osborne   for   her   70 th    birthday   -   for   which   she   held   a   magnificent   Party   Dance with   music   by   a   six-piece   Nicol   McLaren   &   the   Glencraig   Band. A   wonderful   occasion   befitting   a   wonderful   lady   - and over £1200 was raised for Cancer UK. The   recording   for   this   dance   by   Marian   Anderson’s   Band   includes   Jim   Anderson’s   Delight   -   one   of   Chrissie’s favourite tunes.
