THE CARETAKER’S JIG  (J8x32) Roy Fidler  1- 8 1s dance reflection reels of 3 on opposite sides  9-16 1s+2s   dance   double   figure   of   8,   1s   crossing   down   to   start   &   2s   casting up 17-24 1s dance reflection reels of 3 on own sides 25-28 1s   dance   in,   dance   down   to   3 rd    place   &   face   out   as   2s+3s   dance   up   on bars 25-26 29-32 1s mirror turn 3s 1½ times (Men RH, Ladies LH), 3s finish facing out (on 2 nd  repeat, 1s+3s only turn once in 4 bars & 3s finish facing in) Note: To   help   the   flow   of   this   dance,   at   the   end   of   the   1 st    couple’s   second time   through,   the   1s   &   3s   should   turn   each   other   one   full   turn   only, with   1s   finishing   with   a   polite   turn.   This   will   automatically   take   the 1s to the bottom, leaving the top 3 couples ready to start the reels.
This   dance   is   dedicated   to   Jack   &   Jess   Mitson,   caretakers   of   Sexton   Manor   School,   the   meeting   place   of   the   West Suffolk   Ceilidh   Club.   Without   the   co-operation,   help   and   friendship   of   Jack   &   Jess,   the   Club   could   not   be   the same.
